Selfie is now part of our culture today, especially to teenagers. It already existed from the past but it seems like today, selfie is a big deal. It becomes more popular because of the popular celebrities doing it. I mean, selfie would not be popular if not because of these celebrities. They are the one that make "selfie" famous. Of course, if we are a big fan of a celebrity, we sometimes want to copy them. What they do, we also want to do it sometimes.

According to Which Celebrities Take the Most Selfies? by Sara Roncero-Menendez, Miley Cyrus was the reigning queen of Twitter selfies, one of the most controversial celebrities as well since she changed her image. Then reality TV star Kylie Jenner dominates Instagram with more than 450 posts. This was a study according to eBay deals. Of course not just them who are addicted to selfies. Celebrities like Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian, Rihanna and many more are fan of selfies.

Well, not all celebrities are fan of selfies. According to Sana Chu author of an article Most Selfies Posted on Twitter, Barrack Obama's twitter account has more than 1,463 messages on twitter and 0 selfie, and Oprah Winfrey containing of 256 post on Instagram, there is no selfie as well. Of course you agree with me, selfies has a higher impact to teenagers and middle aged, or young people.

Yes, celebrities are the one that make things popular. They are the public figure, wherever they go, many people are following them. So that is why, when they take selfies, expect that it will be trending on twitter, it will gain many likes on facebook and instagram.


Many people of course, are followers of celebrities. Whatever they do, they copy it from them. That is what we are, too much adoration to these celebrities can have an effect for us to have a lack of confidence. Because we adore celebrities too much that it is like we are treating them as powerful. Yes I know that most of the celebrities are good looking and attractive that is why when they take selfie, many are easily get attracted at them. So don't even wonder why they are famous in their selfies. Whatever they do of course, it will spread worldwide. That is why celebrities makes the selfie famous.
